Hammerite Rust Remover Dip is specially formulated for the effective removal of rust from metal items. Ideal for use on nuts, bolts, car parts and garden tools. This Hammerite rust treatment easily removes rust in just 2-3 hours, simply immerse rusty items into the dip allow the treatment to work and a couple hours later they are rust free.

Preparation

Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease, flaking paint or rust. Use a wire brush to remove loose rust.

Application

Before applying Hammerite Rust Remover Dip always test a small area to ensure compatability.

• Pour the required amount into a plastic container.
• Dilute 1 part Hammerite Rust Remover Dip with 9 parts water and mix thoroughly.
• Immerse the rusty item in the diluted solution overnight.
• Remove and rinse under running water using a wire brush to remove rust deposits.
• If the rust has not been completely removed repeat the process .
• To prevent new rust forming, paint the surface on the same day with an appropriate metal paint such as .
• Do not return any left over solution to the original container after use.
