The legendary 1962 Cobra was a result of retired racer Carroll Shelby's talent and his team in Los Angeles. This quick little car, born from the combination of a British-built AC Ace roadster and a small-block Ford V-8, quickly gained renown on the streets and success on the track. In 1965, Shelby pushed for even more speed by adding Ford's big-block 427-cubic-inch V-8, producing 425 horsepower and achieving a 0-60 mph time of less than four seconds. Revell's 1/24-scale model kit accurately represents the rare S/C (semi-competition) version, which was essentially a race car disguised for the streets.
